Udaipur May 18: A heated altercation between two families in the Gokulpur area of Udaipur subdivision escalated into violence on Saturday.

According to sources, the feud had been simmering for several days over minor incidents within the Gokulpur Gram Panchayat area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the RadhaKishorepur police station.

The incident unfolded when Billal Hossain, a resident of Gokulpur, returned home after recovering from injuries sustained in a previous altercation.

On Friday afternoon, while standing outside his house with his infant, Billal confronted his elder cousin, Ahmedin, who was allegedly driving recklessly.

Witnesses claim that an argument ensued, leading to physical violence.

Billal’s pregnant wife, Tania Akhtar, intervened to protect her husband and was also assaulted.

The situation escalated further, drawing the ire of other residents in the area.

In the ensuing chaos, Ahmedin suffered head injuries, and all three—Ahmedin, Tania Akhtar, and Billal Hossain—were rushed to Gomati District Hospital for medical attention.

Local police swiftly responded to the scene and filed a case at the RadhaKishorepur police station. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to defuse tensions and ensure justice prevails in this unfortunate family dispute.
