Nothing is nobler than blood donation: Tripura Guv

Agartala May 02: Blood donation is a noble act that saves countless lives everyday. By donating blood, individuals contribute to the well- being of others and play a vital role in the healthcare system, said Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu.
The Governor visited Maharaja Bir Bikram University on Thursday morning and inaugurated a blood donation camp organized under the initiative of NSS Unit and Red Ribbon Club of the University.
Addressing the event, the Governor said that a meagre number of students from Tripura are appearing for UPSC examination. He advised the authorities of the University to encourage the students to take active part in such competitive exams in the future.
Greeting the organizers and the participants who came forward in voluntary blood donation on this day, the Governor said that not a single drop of blood should get wasted.
“Nothing is nobler than blood donation. But at the same time, we must ensure that the blood donated by people is not wasted and is used for saving lives of those in need”, he said.
Vice- Chancellor, MBB University, Professor Satyadeo Poddar welcomed the Governor at the day’s program and also informed him about the positive developments of the University in recent days.
