Agartala May 02: The tragic incident that took away the life of a job aspirant and left several others critically injured is the result of a thoughtless and directionless decision of BJP-led government in Tripura, alleged Tripura Pradesh Congress.
Notably, following an accident at Dimahasao, in Southern part of neighbouring Assam, a 33 year old job aspirant named Debraj Debbarma died and as many as seven others are undergoing treatment in a critical condition at Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
A team of five youth Congress leaders led by State Youth Congress president Neel Kamal Saha travelled to SMCH to inquire about the present health condition of the injured candidates.
Meanwhile, in a press statement issued on behalf of the party, the Congress held the BJP-run state government solely responsible for the accident.
“We think that these candidates fell prey to the inhuman decision of the Tripura government. It was a thoughtless decision of the government that sent so many boys and girls of the state to other states for recruitment examinations without considering their safety and security”, read the press release undersigned by Prabir Chakraborty, TPCC Spokesperson.
Slamming the BJP for taking “anti-student” decisions, the Congress demanded all necessary assistance including financial assistance to the injured and the deceased candidate.
