Khowai dist bolsters election security: DM

Khowai/ Agartala, Apr 25: Khowai district administration has left no stone unturned in ensuring the integrity of the electoral process on Friday, Khowai District Magistrate Chandni Chandran said on Thursday.
Addressing a press conference at the conference hall of Khowai district magistrate’s office, Chandran highlighted the preparedness for the polling of the second and last phase of Lok Sabha elections in Tripura.
She said that a total of 307 polling stations are there under the district and each equipped with CCTV surveillance.
Chandran pointed out that a total of 13 polling stations are exclusively managed by women, with Teliamura and Khowai hosting seven and six respectively.
Besides, the district boasts 13 model polling stations, setting exemplary standards for efficiency and transparency. District Magistrate reiterated a firm commitment to maintaining law and order, assuring citizens of a seamless and secure electoral experience.
Khowai District Superintendent of Police, Ramesh Yadav and other officials were present in the press conference.
